Install Windows Server 2012 R2

  1. After the initial install is finished and the server reboots, wait for the “Server Manager” to open:
    • Click Local Server
    • Change Windows Update to “Turn on automatic updates”
    • Install any updates found.
    • Set the Correct TimeZone.
    • Enable Remote Desktop
    • Configure the Static Network IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses
    • Change the Computer Name and Join the Domain.
    • Reboot
