Install Mono 2.10 on CentOS 5.x

Download and extract Mono source from the Mono Project Site:

wget http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/sources/mono/mono-2.10.tar.bz2
tar xjfv mono-2.10.tar.bz2
cd mono-2.10

Install the C compiler and build tools:

yum install gcc bison pkgconfig glib2-devel gettext make

Then compile and install Mono:

./configure
make
make install
