Proxmox VE

Proxmox VE is a complete open source virtualization management solution for servers. It is based on KVM virtualization and container-based virtualization and manages virtual machines, storage, virtualized networks, and HA Clustering.

However, the company behind the software decided to require a subscription and to place a nag screen in the management UI. I use to run an entire proxmox cluster at home for a couple of years and it's been an overall good experience. I had very much hoped to switch over to proxmox for all of my virturalization but with their new subscription plans, I cannot afford to pay their support fee, and to be honest I don't feel their product is good enough yet to justify VMware pricing, not even close. I would be OK with more reasonable pricing for hobby use. Running the unstable branch of proxmox on my servers is not an option.
