Hide Your Computer From "My Network"

If you want to hide your XP computer in a network so that only shared folders are accessible and the computer is not listed in the network neighborhood, then all you need to do is type one command. Go to run window and type in the following command:

net config server /hidden:yes

By running this command it will make the computer invisible to the network while allowing you to still share files and folders. The computer will ping properly and work as normal.
